STATEMENT
Birthed out of a fascination of ancient technique, Emily's large scale botanical tapestries are a lesson in history and a record of today.
Emily Morgan Brown is a realist artist whose botanical work is offset by the muted palette of charcoal and gesso on a raw Belgian linen base, creating a modern take on the traditional art of tapestry. Emily works from her studio in Birmingham Alabama and is inspired by the constant motion of her garden and her three young daughters.
